Is Entrepreneurial Talent or born trait?
I have always wondered whether successful entrepreneurs are born with it or whether it’s a skill that they learn and apply over the course of their careers.
After reading multiple articles, reviews and over our live experiences I have come to realise that entrepreneurial talent maybe learned and applied; in saying that some people are born with certain traits like creativity, resilience, natural ability to detect opportunities and the natural drive to achieve success in life.
Our Story
After only two years of us (Diana and Daniel) dating, we have started noticing that we had very similar characteristics when it came to career growth and entrepreneurial drive!
Our entrepreneurial journey started as early as 2006! Where many attempts were made for different business ideas and multiple of business opportunities. None of the initial attempts were successful but that never pressed the hold button on our eagerness and persistence.
Always believed that opportunity may or may not be around the corner! And you may need to travel, relocate for an opportunity that’s in the near future.
That said, we decided to relocate to the sunshine state and in 2009 we went on the search for a small coffee shop business! And you may say why coffee! Two reasons, one being our love and passion for coffee and the second being we both had no business experience so a small coffee shop we thought would be a good place to start.
Little we knew that the coffee business was a very saturated market and you must have the skills and experience to make it work! Unfortunately we didn’t have neither at the time! Hence why it was a failure!!
Recall me mentioning earlier that we never give up and perhaps not in those words! Well even though the coffee business was unsuccessful as a first business it was a great experience and it most certainly moulded us as human beings and as young entrepreneurs.
The truth is that we would have never had the opportunity to get into Boost Juice if we never had the coffee shop business. As we would have never met the beautiful family that got us there.

2013 an opportunity came about to purchase an existing Boost Juice store and after we did our due diligence and assessment of the opportunity we didn’t hesitate to grasp onto the new challenge and start a new chapter of our business lives.
Over 10 years later and the first is history!
We continuously challenge ourselves and those around us because we find a sense of purpose and satisfaction when we do.
